"One of the maps teared while I was opening it as it seemed it was just 2 stuck/glued together.
Maps are the quality of the old map that came with the dnd 4e starter set. The maps are nice I was surprised after reading the negative reviews. If it wasnt for the one map that teared (less then an inch long) I think this is way worth it for the lazy DM."

- I was hoping for widely usable, general maps that could be used in a broad variety of encounters. There are a few (a town, a castle, a path through the wilderness), but most of the maps are really esoteric environments that I will rarely find a use for. I suspect that I will never have a need for most of these maps.
Additionally, there are no preview images. Instead of adding re-hashed images from the Dungeon Master's Guide to the inside flaps of the (flimsy) folder that these maps come in, I would have rather had thumbnail images of the maps.
If you're looking for unusual terrain spaces to give you inspiration for some unique, interesting encounters, I suspect you will find a lot of good stuff in this product. If you're looking for a variety of maps with broad application, this may not be the product you're looking for.
Update I attached thumbnails of the maps. In my opinion, something like this should have been included with the set of maps. - The maps themselves are excellent, however the paper they are made of does not seem to be as durable as I would have liked. They are double sided poster sized maps printer on fairly thin poster quality paper. If you are going to use these I would suggest getting a stiff clear plastic piece to put over them to protect them .
- I have always missed the amazing quality maps that came with modules up until the end of 4th edition, and boy does this set make up for their absence.
Absolutely outstanding quality and variety. 10 double sided, glossy maps of wonder and glory!
Maps from all my favorite modules, some I am so happy to have new prints of because my old ones were getting very worn or have gotten lost.
The folder they come in is a little flimsy, but that's really the only thing I can criticize, and the folder is the least important part. And it also comes with 2 kinda useful references in it!
If you want to get a great gift for the Dungeon Master in your life, they will love these. I love these.
These will be in every new DM gift set I put together for aspiring new DMs.
I sincerely hope these are successful enough to get a second set with even more maps, because if they continue to be this great they will be an instant buy! - I was hoping for some rugged, re-usable maps, in a similar vein to the dungeon tiles.
Unfortunately, these maps are printed on extremely thin, fragile paper - they feel like they're about to rip just from pulling them out of the folder.
The maps themselves are quite bizarre and very few are suitable for a typical D&D campaign. Sure, they have a generic country road and a section of a keep, but then you get a completely spartan throne chamber and a farmyard. Many of the maps have an even worse problem they continue off the edge, making one question Why bother the map if they're only going to print a fraction of it?
The choices made in designing this process are quite bizarre. This is a nearly useless product. - Awesome product arrived on time. Well printed will be an assome addition to my home brews and more. Be aware though it’s still paper and you should take care of them or they won’t last. But other wise very satisfied with the terrains.
- Great purchase for $15 - lots of maps, great quality, and I even purchased extra downloadable content that givs you one-shot games to go with them (since the maps are from previous editions, they just updated the old modules for 5e). Love this thing and happy I bought it.

You could print something of a similar quality at home.
